Kanye West Foundation Closes After 4 Years

Kanye West arrives at Heathrow airport on Wednesday (April 20) in London, England.

The 33-year-old rapper performed at Coachella over the weekend and headed overseas afterward.

Earlier in the week, it was announced that the Kanye West Foundation, which was intended to reduce high school dropout rates, has closed.

“I am reaching out to let you know that the Kanye West Foundation has officially closed it[s] doors after a successful 4+ years of programming and events,” former executive director Joseph Collins wrote in an email (viaNYTimes).

“It has been an incredible experience working with Kanye and the board to realize his mother’s vision and I am honored to have been given the opportunity to lead the Foundation,” Joseph continued.
